A life long resident of Dundee Township, Dave has always been committed to grouwing the strength of the local Democratic Party. Under Reece's chairmanship, the organization has grown to have 28 Democratic Committeemen in Dundee Township's 35 precincts.

Dave has also been committed to helping elect Democrats to higher offices. Among those he helped elect were State Representative Keith Farnham (43^rd Representative District), State Senator Michael Noland (22^nd Legislative District), and Judge John Noverini (16^th Judicial Circuit, 2^nd Subcircuit).

In the 2009 municipal elections, the Dundee Democrats had their first ever real electoral fight with Republican Township incumbants facing Democratic challengers for every office.
